While I was in search of information about use or misuse of social media, I discovered a discussion in the forum of the French newspaper « Le Figaro » and I think it could be interesting to share it. It is about the French website Kidioui.fr which is paying your parking tickets if you subscribe online.
The idea is simple: anyone who wants to be reimbursed must register on Kidioui’s social network, explain the context in which the fine was imposed, and get as many votes as there are euros to pay. Each of the site’s 2,000 users can vote only once for each candidate, to limit the cost to the company. In order not to encourage crime, the offer only concerns parking tickets.
To date, the site has reimbursed 500 euros worth of parking tickets and there are still 3,000 euros in fines waiting for votes, but the site states that its budget is unlimited, because the cost of the campaign will be proportional to its impact on public opinion. Opportunely launched after an increase in parking ticket prices from 11 to 17 euros, this communication campaign is already bearing fruit. In five days, they recorded over 20,000 visitors to their offer.

Hi Perrine !
ReplyDeleteThis is so interesting and, to be honest, very surprising ! It's a very unusual and smart way to manage your social networks, keep your existing consumers and reach potential ones.
I think the only issue is to try to prevent abuse of this kind of offer !
Thank you for this article !
See you tonight !
